Saadi Shirazi or Sheikh Saadi was a famous Perisan poet. He came from a poor background but studied and travelled for many years throughout the middle east. He also experienced and witnessed much suffering during his life.
His poem Bani Adam can be translated as
"The sons of Adam are limbs of one body
Of the same essence created
When circumstances experiences pain
The other parts also feel the same
If you're unbothered at other's grief
Maybe you shouldn't be called a human"
